Zouk is a musical style born in Guadeloupe (Caribbean French island) in the late 70's. This musical genre is known for its fast and pronounced rhythm, with a tempo ranging from 120 to 145 BPM, and a strong use of synthesizers and drum machines. Zouk still influences modern genres nowadays.
